The Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), a dependency of the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT), is the largest concentrating solar technology research, development and test center in Europe. PSA activities are integrated in the CIEMAT organization as an R&D division of the Department of Energy.

GREENOLIVE Project Kick-off Meeting
The GREENOLIVE project was officially launched with a three-day kick-off meeting held on November 19-21, 2025, at the eCAMPUS premises in Rome. Funded by the European Union under Interreg NEXT MED Programme with 2.7 M€ of total project budget of which is 89% EU contribution, the 36-month initiative aims to accelerate the decarbonization of industries across the Mediterranean by harnessing the region’s abundant solar energy.

La directora general del Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT), Yolanda Benito, ha inaugurado el II Congreso del departamento de Energía, que tuvo lugar en la Plataforma Solar de Almería los días 25 y 26 de noviembre y que reunión al personal investigador, técnico y de gestión.
