Líneas de investigación
Su labor de investigación se centra en el estudio experimental de la eliminación de microorganismos patógenos presentes en diversas fuentes de agua mediante Procesos Avanzados de Oxidación (PAO) basados en el uso de radiación solar como fotocatálisis con dióxido de titanio (TiO2) y foto-Fenton; y también otros procesos foto-químicos tales como peróxido de hidrógeno y desinfección con radiación solar natural. Su interés científico se centra además en la evaluación de la calidad microbiológica alcanzada para reutilización de agua residual urbana tratada mediante todos estos procesos en agricultura.

Trayectoria profesional
Autora y co-autora de 55 publicaciones en revistas internacionales con alto índice de impacto (Orcid: 0000-0002-2505-721X), autora de 1 libro y co-autora de otros 9 capítulos de libros. Ha presentado más de 100 contribuciones a Congresos y Simposios nacionales e internacionales. Desde que se unió al CIEMAT en 2008, ha realizado su doctorado obteniendo el título de Doctor y ha colaborado con más de 30 estudiantes de doctorado en el campo de la desinfección solar y fotocatalítica solar de agua. Además, ha participado como investigadora en 15 proyectos nacionales e internacionales. Ha co-dirigido una tesis doctoral y dirige actualmente tres tesis doctorales en curso.
